The transfer of personnel between vessels (ship-to-ship) requires a transfer basket with lower weight/dimensions and, consequently, reduced transport capacity (up to 2 crew members for each operation). The basket’s materials and components are non-combustible and resistant to corrosion, seawater, and petroleum products.
It also has positive buoyancy when fully loaded, keeping all access above the waterline. The basket’s buoyancy is ensured by floaters. 1. When the basket is in a stable condition, the water level inside it will not exceed 0.3 m, under any loading condition; and 2. When the basket is in the horizontal position, it will allow at least one access above the waterline.

The lease model for this equipment eliminates CAPEX and reduces in half the logistical processes involved in annual certification by simply exchanging expired baskets for new ones, certified for another year. Additionally, the model only generates a single annual payment process and the agreement signed with customers can have a flexible term, with a fixed price, further simplifying internal and tax controls.
In addition to being compulsory, annual servicing will also increase the lifespan of your equipment and thus your safety. Baskets are kept in aggressive environments and exposed to humidity, heat, fresh water, salt water, drastic temperature changes, and improper handling, which can accelerate the natural ageing process of the equipment and its components. There is no way of determining whether the equipment will maintain its good operating condition without regular servicing at the manufacturer or approved service station.
Dimensions
The cable dimensions are as follows: – Support cable: 3.0 m; – Safety cable: 0.1 m longer than the support cable; and – Guide cable: 2.0 m. The dimensions of the occupant seating area are as follows: – Height: 2.50 m; and – Occupant space: 1.2 m diameter.
