The lease model for this equipment eliminates CAPEX and reduces in half the logistical processes involved in annual certification by simply exchanging expired liferafts for new ones, certified for another year. Additionally, the model only generates a single annual payment process and the agreement signed with customers can have a flexible term, with a fixed price, further simplifying internal and tax controls.
In addition to being compulsory, annual servicing will also increase the lifespan of your equipment and thus your safety. Liferafts are kept in aggressive environments and exposed to humidity, heat, fresh water, salt water, drastic temperature changes, and improper handling, which can accelerate the natural ageing process of the equipment and its components. Therefore, there is no way of determining whether a liferaft will maintain its good operating condition without regular servicing at the manufacturer or approved service station.
